Absolutely, join us in our Festival Grounds for drinks (alcohol and non-alcoholic), Calgary’s best food truck, live bands, a DJ, swag giveaway, prizes and more!
If I Lose All Of My Flags Am I Out Of The Race?
No, although Zombie infection is now an inevitable and unavoidable fact that you’ll have to come to terms with, you are not out of the race and you can compete to put up your best time at the event. When running the race be on the lookout for extra lives, we may have the cure for the zombie infection!
If I Lose All Of My Flags Do I Turn Into A Zombie?
No, you finish the race regardless.
Why Should I Continue To Race If I Lose All My Flags?
Be on the lookout for extra lives on the course, you may be able to come back from the dead! Also you should still try to put up the best time you can as this is a timed event!
When Can I Pick Up My Race Packet?
Your race package can only be picked up the day of the event.
Can I Wear A Costume?
Yes we encourage them; the crazier the better!
Is There An Age/Height Requirement To Participate?
Yes, the minimum age to participate in the run is 12 years old. Anyone under the age of 18 must have an adult sign their race waiver. NO EXCEPTIONS.
How Do I Confirm My Start Time?

Can I Transfer My Registration To Another Participant?
You can transfer your registration to another participant by giving them your confirmation ticket.
What Should I Bring With Me To The Day Of The Event?
We recommended brining a change of clothes, cash for food, drinks & parking, sunscreen, water & your zombie survival skills.
A government issued photo ID or your event confirmation email/ticket is required for registration and to pick-up your race package.
Can I Check My Personal Items At The Event?
Yes, we will have a limited bag check (small bags and items) for you while you go out on the race course.
What Is Included With Registration?
Your registration includes your bib number, temporary tattoos, a rad bandana, free photos and a medal.
Can I Bring My Zombie Killing Weapon To The Event?
Absolutely not! Weapons of any kind are strictly prohibited and will be confiscated. This includes fake (prop) weapons as well. Onsite security reserve the right to search all persons and bags upon entry into the event.
Can My Dog Come To The Event?
Unfortunately not. No animals (except service dogs) are permitted at the event.
Can I Get A Refund?
Per our registration policy, we do not issue refunds under any circumstances.
Is There A Weight Limit On The Obstacles?
No, there is no weight limit on our obstacles.

What Are My Options Now That A Wave Time Has Closed?
You can purchase our "All Access Pass". These passes allow you to run in any wave time, even if it’s closed. There are a very limited number of these passes available.

Do You Run In Inclement Weather?
Absolutely! We run our race rain or shine!
What Kind Of Obstacles Are At The Event?
You can expect lots of crawling, dodging, climbing & possibly swimming obstacles (we wouldn’t want to ruin all of the surprises). Wearing something that you don’t mind getting muddy, “bloody” or wet is strongly advised. All obstacles are optional to the race, so don’t feel you have to do something if you don’t feel capable taking on a specific obstacle. There may also be some race objectives in addition to just running in the race.

Is There Parking Available At The Event?
Yes, parking is $3 per car at the event, cash only.
Is The Race Timed?
No, the race and its participants do not get timed. Trust us there are plenty of events out there that offer timing and that’s cool. We’re solely about having a killer time on the crazy obstacle course. Can Spectators Attend For Free?
Yes, all spectators can attend for free.
How Many People Are There In Each Wave?
Each Wave will contain 200 Runners.
I'm A Photographer, Are There Media Passes?
Yes, we can get you special media access to get you onto restricted race areas. Please contact our Event Directors at firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like media access on race day.
Can I Skip An Obstacle?
Absolutely. If at any time you feel uncomfortable completing any of the obstacles, just walk around it.
Will I Receive A Participant Guide?
Yes participant guides are sent out on the Wednesday prior to the event via e-mail. These guides include all information regarding parking, venue specifics and event day preparations and more.
Can You Ship My Participant Medal and free swag?
The participant medal and swag can only be picked up at the event; we cannot ship them.
Will You Cancel for Bad Weather?
Zombie Survivor will run rain or shine. In the case of lightning or other “severe” weather, the event will either be delayed until the weather clears, postponed until the next day, rescheduled for another day or cancelled all together. There are no standing scheduled “rain dates”. Events are held rain, shine or snow. In the case of significantly inclement weather (i.e. lightning in the area), we reserve the right to alter components of the event or course to address safety concerns, or potentially delay, postpone or cancel the event. In addition, it is possible that while we desire not to cancel the event, our facility and/or municipalities may force the cancellation of the event. In such situations, there will be no refunds of entry fees. Each athlete must accept any such risk of their entry fee. Monies collected have already been used to develop and produce the event. We promise to make every effort to produce a fair, safe and exciting event. Any decision made to go forth with the event is contingent on the overall event and course safety, and is made in collectively with local risk management, police, fire & rescue, and medical personnel as appropriate. We reserve the right to withhold any obstacles to maintain a safe course for all runners.
